Another lucky find, while I was searching for something else. "Dear Reader" is the solo project of singer-songwriter Cherilyn MacNeil. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, she resides in Germany now. The tag "chamber pop" stated below is applicable in a way, at least giving the proper expectation of something sophisticated, while being accessible as well. On the other hand, this music is neither chamber music, nor pop in a strict sense. I file it under "elaborate alternative rock".
